Keep your eyes on the prize, boys. |
In the previous Top EDM News post on The Wub Wub, we reported that “new music [is] on the horizon” for Sebastian Ingrosso and Axwell, two of the three members of Swedish House Mafia.
Last Thursday, Axwell tweeted, “It’s official. Me and @Ingrosso are finishing our first album ...”
Now, the two of them are back with a new album, tour dates, and a new name: Axwell Λ Ingrosso. Their upcoming collaboration, “This Time We Can’t Go Home,” was featured on Zane Lowe’s BBC Radio 1 show. Check it out here.
In preparation for their big reveal, the duo took to the New York streets to post clues for their collaboration. The two asked for their fans to look out for their “/\” symbol as posters and stickers with either the sign or words like “Go throw the key away” and “All for a better day” spread across walls and street poles.

Gramatik’s New Music Video Released from Album,
The Age of Reason
Sit down, kick back, and get ready for Gramatik’s first music video off of his newest album, The Age of Reason. The song, “Brave Men,” features Eskobars and is the first track on the album.
The music video was directed by Joe Zohar with Nina Varano as the protagonist, a woman neglected by her husband who takes her frustrations in an all-girl fight club.
The bruise on Varano’s cheek and the caged bird in her home juxtapose the entrapping, abusive relationship she struggles with. Struck down in her relationship and within the fight club, itself, it’s not until the woman she’s combatting against takes on the image of her husband that she is finally able to take out her frustrations.
EDM.com reports, “Some viewers might seem confused by the intentions of the video amidst its dramatic and violent content, but we think it serves as a powerful lesson to those struggling that we must all fight to survive.”
In short, it’s a heavy-hitting video that packs a lot of punches. Check it out above.

The Internet made me do it. |
This year’s newest addition to the Transformers movie franchise is hyping up not only the actors that will be in it (i.e., Mark Wahlberg), but also a certain special DJ and producer who will be livening up their soundtrack.
While on The Mothership Tour, Skrillex told Billboard that he will be working on the sound design for the upcoming Transformers films.
What kind of songs should you expect from Skrillex? Well, that’s a little difficult to say.
In the interview, he said that there will be “the craziest Skrillex sounds I could ever make,” reported by YourEDM.
Other film scoring projects are also giving offers to Skrillex as we speak.

In the interview, he added that fans should expect a few EP’s coming out as well. The article reported:
"In the electronic world, it's not as necessary to just release albums," Skrillex tells Billboard. "So even though I just put this record ('Recess') out, I'm going to sprinkle in some singles and mini-EPs throughout the year. ('Recess') doesn't feel that much different for me. I've just been releasing so much music in so many different ways, and any EP I've made, like 'Bangarang' and 'Scary Monsters...,' they all have some dynamic in the sense the songs are all different and they're not all bangers. But ('Recess') gave me the opportunity to create more dynamics, just because it's longer, and I really liked that challenge."
