Collaboration Between AlunaGeorge, Diplo, and Skrillex

Four heads are better than one.
In an interview with Billboard, Aluna Francis of AlunaGeorge reported that they've finished a collaboration with Diplo and Skrillex.

"It's been fun," she said.

The three have worked together before! In 2013 at the Mad Decent Block Party, Diplo and Skrillex, the duo otherwise known as Jack Up, debuted the track, "ID," with vocals from Aluna Francis, herself.

Listen to their song with an intro from Diplo below:

Aluna Franciz revealed that fans can expect a follow-up to their 2013 album, Body Music.

Porter Robinson, According to Porter Robinson
No promises.

Porter Robinson recently participated in an AMA on Reddit. An AMA, which stands for "Ask Me Anything," allows fans to personally ask questions to whoever hosts the AMA.

Here are some of Porter's responses to questions below, compiled by EDM.com:

Question:
What's making you unhappy about the current EDM scene?

Answer:

hahaha, fair!
first of all, i want to define what i mean by "EDM". when i talk about EDM, i generally mean main-stage, 128 BPM, 1-2-3 JUMP banger type stuff. i don't mean all electronic music that's dancy - even though that's what the name prescribes, i don't think that's how it is (or should be) used anymore.
a lot of my angst about EDM came from my songwriting process. i think that EDM, in order to do its job in its intended setting (a DJ set), has requirements to make it 'work'. the most effective electro tracks have a 30-second buildup, where the chord returns to the root note, with risers, maybe a rising vocal, a snare roll - there are moves you HAVE to do in an 'EDM' track to make it work.
i think that emphasis on FUNCTION over real artistic expression is what soured me on the genre. it felt extremely limiting to me to try to write music that had to, y'know... "work". and once i cast that off, it opened up the world tome. it was the BEST FUCKING FEELING EVER to be writing music without those confines. writing music makes me so goddamn happy again
Question:
Hey Porter! I love the direction you're going with your new music and Worlds!

1) Who are your main musical influences?

2) Of all the electronic albums being released this year, whose are you most excited for?

3) Who do you want to collaborate with most?

Thanks for doing this AMA!

Answer:
thanks!
1) daft punk and kanye west are my all-time faves
2) i don't know if it's this year, but i've heard madeon's album and it's FUCKING magnificent. i've been singing one of them all goddamn day
3) hehehehe

Rihanna Turned Down a Song by Grimes

Deal with it.
Canadian Claire Boucher, otherwise known as Grimes, has won a Juno award for electronic album of the year. Pitchfork listed her in their Best New Music category. She's even been signed to Jay Z's management company Roc Nation, while still signed to 4AD Records.

But even that's not enough for Rihanna to accept a song by her.

It was released on Twitter by Grimes that she would feature an all new song named "Go" at the Governor's Ball with Blood Diamond that was originally written for Rihanna.

Grimes debuted two new songs as well, titled, "David" and "Sleepwalking."

Expect her new album, a follow-up to 2012's Visions, later this year.

Ammonia Attack Near Lightbox London Club

Suspected to be a homophobic hate crime, three men are currently hospitalized after Jonathan Lynn and two women assaulted club goers with bleach at the Lightbox gay club in South London, reported Daily Mail.

One of the victims said, "As we walked away I heard a man shout 'Oi! Come here.' At first I thought it was the doorman saying he'd changed his mind and we could go in. Then I saw this white guy with a beard, and his hand coming up with a water bottle that he squirted really hard into my face."

The victim described the experience, saying his face felt like his burning as the chemical burned the cornea in his left eye, leaving him blind in that eye.

Mark Williams, spokesperson for the Lightbox owners, said, "Our extensive commitment with the council and Vauxhall One to provide a safe environment for everyone continues. Our thoughts go out to the victims of this awful attack, and we wish them a speedy recovery."

Jonathan Lynn, 31, has been charged with three counts of assault occasioning actual bodily harm and intent as well as for possession of a weapon for discharge of a noxious liquid and/or gas.

Lynn was scheduled to appear at Camberwell Green Magistrates Court on June 13 to face charges.
